Thedisappearanceinvitrodrymatter(IVDMD),kineticparametersofgasproduction(L,timelag,S,gasproductionrateandVmax,themaximumvolumeofgas)andN-NH3concentrationofnopal-legume,avocadoleaves,col,cauliflower,cornleaves,spinachandlettuceaswellaslucerneandoathaywerestudied.ThevariablesL,SandVmaxwerecalculatedusingalogisticmodel.Theexperimentaldesignwascompletelyrandomanddatawereanalyzedusingmixedmodels.Resultsindicatethatrejectedvegetablescanbeproperlyfermentedbyrumenmicroorganismsandcouldbeincludedinthefeedingofruminantstoreducetheaccumulationofmethaneandwasteorganicsinthebigcities.
