AstudywasconductedtoevaluateeffectsofreplacingProcessedLupinMeal(PLM)forsoybeanmeal(SBM)asproteiningredientonfeedintake,bodyweightgain,eggproductionandquality,feedconversionefficiency,andprofitabilityforaperiodof90days.Atotalof150birdswithuniformbodyweightandagewererandomlyallocatedtofivetreatments.TreatmentswereSBMreplacedbyPLMataproportionof0(PLM0),25(PLM25),50(PLM50),75(PLM75)and100%(PLM100)withintherationformulatedtobeisocaloricandisonitrogenous.nbsp;nbsp;Excepttheeggyolkcolor,replacingSBMwithPLMdidnotaffecteggproductionandqualityparameters.FeedcostdecreasedwithincreasinglevelofPLM.ItisthereforeconcludedthatalllevelsofreplacementofSBMwithPLMinalayerdietdidnotaffectproductionandqualityparameters.However,ithadasignificantreductionineggproductioncostofwhiteleghornlayers.nbsp;Therefore,replacingSBMwithPLMreducescostofproductionandimprovespoultryeggproductivity.
