Four methods of vegetative propagation of mulberry (Morus alba)

FourmethodsofpreparingstakesofMulberry(Morusalba)forvegetativepropagationwerecomparedinarandomizeddesignwith50replicates.Themethodswere:CRhorizontalcut(control);PLPeelingtheepidermis,barkandphloemfromthelower4cmofthestake;CBnbsp;angularcut(45deg;);Hhormonetreatmentnbsp;(Indolbutilicacid0,4%).Thevariablesmeasuredwere:stakeswithsproutedleafbuds,stakeswithroots,nbsp;andlengthoftheroots.Peelingthestakeandcuttingatanangleof45deg;supportedhigherpercentagesofsproutedleafbuds(100and92%)thanthehormoneandcontroltreatments(76and82%).Therewerenodifferencesamongtreatmentsinnumbersorlengthoftheroots.
