At this time of downsized bud gets, Googleized students, andcommercialized information competitors, Rosann Bazirjian is having fun.Five years after becoming dean ofUniversity Libraries at the Universityof North Carolina at Greensboro(UNCG), Bazirjian clearly enjoys herchance to influence campus teaching, research, learning, and culture.She serves on the Deans Council,the Library and Information Studies Advisory Committee,and the Advisory Committee on University Outreach andPublic Service. In addition to these formal roles, shehas positioned the library as a dynamic campus partner:sponsoring art exhibits and literary readings, cohostingcelebrations for incoming LIS students as well as for newlypromoted and tenured faculty, and offering new and innovative services.
