Abstract:Objective To explore the application of perineal assessment scale in head position delivery of lowrisk primiparas. Methods A total of 100 lowrisk primiparas with vaginal natural childbirth were divided into study group and control group. Lateral episiotomy was performed according to nurses′ experience in the control group, and the lateral episiotomy or perineal care was performed according to perineal assessment scale in the study group. Results In the study group, there were 29 cases of different perineal laceration and 1 case of scalp hematoma in neonates. In the control group, 33 patients had perineal side incision, and there were 14 cases of perineal laceration, 1 case of neonatal asphyxia and 2 case of scalp hematoma in neonates. Conclusion Perineal assessment scale can be used to guide clinical midwifery staff correctly selective lateral episiotomy, protect maternal perineal and ensure the safety of mother and infant.
