Abstract:Objective To investigate the patient safety attitudes and awareness in intern nurses, and to provide potential improvement approaches. Methods The patient safety attitudes and awareness in intern nurses was investigated by field survey and network survey. Results Of 385 questionnaires sent out, 380 questionnaires were retrieved, in which 378 cases were available for analysis. Results The averaged score of total 31 items in questionnaire was(2.90±1.135).The item that patients safety as the primary principle in nursing management ranked highest, with a averaged score of(3.33±0.957). The item that difficulties in speaking out potential issues of treatment and nursing was rated with lowest score of(2.12±1.282). Multiple linear regression analysis showed that hospital level was independent influencing factor of intern nurses’ attitudes towards to patient safety(P0.01). Conclusion It is required to strengthen the cultivation and management on safety attitude of intern nurses.
