Abstract：Objective To investigate the effects of nursing service in advance on cutting on shortening the waiting time of outpatient in oncology clinic. Methods A total of 60outpatient from oncology clinic were assigned to the control group and the study group, with 30 cases in each group. Patients in the control group received routine nursing care, and the nursing service in advance was carried out in the study group. The waiting time for diagnosis was observed and the satisfaction degree on nursing service was compared between two groups. Results Patients in the study group had a shorter waiting time and higher score in assessment of nursing satisfaction compared with those in the control group(P0.05 or P0.01). Conclusion Nursing service in advance can shorten the waiting time of outpatient in oncology clinic, and improve their satisfaction degree.
