Abstract:Objective To investigate the current situation of empathy in nurses from outpatients division and emergency division, and to provide reference for targeted training in the process of empathy education. Methods 〓A revised Chinese Version of the Jefferson Empathy Scale was used to investigate the empathy of 100 nurses,and influential factors of empathy were analyzed. Results 〓The score on empathy of outpatients nurses was higher than that of emergency nurses(P0.05). The factor of professional title affected the empathy of emergency nurses(P0.05), not the empathy of clinic nurses(P0.05). The factor of occupational satisfaction affected the empathy of clinic nurses(P0.01), not the empathy of emergency nurses(P0.05). The factor of course learning affected the empathy of emergency nurses(P0.05), not the empathy of clinic nurses(P0.05). The factor of working environment affected the empathy of both emergency nurses and the clinic nurses(P0.01). Conclusion 〓The score on empathy of outpatients nurses was higher than that of emergency nurses in our hospital. On account of the different scores on the empathy influenced by professional title, occupational satisfaction, course learning, work environment, it is required to offer the pointed empathy education training, improve the empathy of nurses.
