Abstract:Objective To investigate the effect of acupoint sticking therapy by middaymidnight flowing of qibloodpoint for postoperative constipation in patients with thoracolumbar fracture and to summarize the nursing measures. Methods A total of 68 thoracolumbar fracture patients undergoing surgery treatment were randomly divided into the control group and the observation group, with 34 cases in each group. Both two groups were given conventional nursing care and the observation group was applied with acupoint (Shenque point) sticking therapy by middaymidnight flowing of qibloodpoint. The overall effective rate, incidence of constipation, first exhaust and defecation time were observed and compared between two groups. Results The overall effective rate was 85.29% in the observation group and was 55.88% in the control group, with a significant difference (P<0.05). The incidence of constipation was 14.71% in the observation group and was 38.24% in the control group, with a significant difference (P<0.05). The observation group had an earlier first exhaust and defecation time compared with the control group (P<0.05). Conclusion The acupoint sticking therapy by middaymidnight flowing of qibloodpoint can improve the clinical symptoms of abdominal distention and constipation, shorten the postoperative flatus and defecation time and reduce incidence of postoperative patients with constipation.
