Aerial photography for detecting and measuring the extent of pasture damage caused by Costelytra zealandica (White)

摘要

Abstract Aerial photography has proved a useful technique for detecting and measuring areas of pasture damaged by larvae of Costelytra zealandica (White). Colour infrared film appears to be more versatile for this work than conventional colour film. Distinction between the merging green, brown, and yellow hues is possible, allowing better definition between areas of damage and healthy pasture.
