:Objective To investigate the effects of implementing nursing service improvement programs using project management method in improving patient experience. Methods 〓Programs of the first-visit responsibility, reducing the incidence of "red light" during infusion, triage service of "stand, ask, and guide", ICU visit procedure reengineering, and operating room visit responsibility were established and carried out in Department of Surgery, Department of Internal Medicine, Outpatient and Emergency Department, ICU, and Operating Room respectively and sequentially so as to improve patient experience from aspects of safety, service and psychology. Results 〓After implementation of nursing service improvement programs, the average time of visit reduced to(5.27±4.97)min from(10.08±4.59)min in Department of Surgery. The frequency of "red light" during infusion decreased from 102 times daily to 29 times daily, and the degree of satisfaction increased from 54.82% to 86.89% in Department of Internal Medicine. The self-rating anxiety scale(SAS)scores decreased from(57.35±6.83)to(49.47±5.91)in ICU. The degree of patients' satisfaction increased from 40.07% to 62.07% in Operating Room. The degree of patients' satisfaction increased from 53.72% to 70.84% in Outpatient Department. The degree of inpatients' satisfaction in 2017 was higher than that in 2016. Conclusion 〓The implementation of nursing service improvement programs using project management method could improve patient experience.
