摘要

Abstract:Objective To compare the application effect of peripherally inserted central catheter(PICC)and vein permanent needle in chemotherapy for patients with breast cancer. Methods A total of 100 patients with breast cancer undergoing chemotherapy were assigned to the study group and the control group, with 50 cases in each group. The vein permanent needle was used in intravenous infusion of chemotherapeutic drugs in the control group, while the PICC was applied in the study group. The catheter keeping time, incidence of catheter-related adverse events such as catheter dislocation or blockage, phlebitis and chemotherapeutic extravasation were recorded and compared between two groups. Results The catheter keeping time was longer in the study group than that of controls, with a significant difference(P0.05). The incidence of catheter-related adverse events was 6.0%(3/50)in the study group and was 52.0%(26/50)in the control group, with a significant difference(P0.01). Conclusion The application of PICC in intravenous?infusion can extend the catheter keeping time and reduce the risk of catheter-related adverse events in chemotherapy for patients with breast cancer.
