：Objective To explore the training efficacy of western medicine nurses learning traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)by hospital-university combination. Methods 〓A total of 60 new nurses of western medicine from Yancheng Hospital of TCM Affiliated to Nanjing University of Chinese Medicine in 2016 and 2017 were selected, and learned TCM with the help of high-class teachers from School of Nursing, Nanjing University of Chinese Medicine and clinical nursing experts from Yancheng Hospital of TCM. Results 〓When compared with training before, the scores of theory and operation test, core competence, comprehensive evaluation of patients and tutors to the nurses were all improved greatly after training, with statistical significance(P0.05). Conclusion 〓The training mode of western medicine nurses learning TCM which is conducted by hospitals and universities, can improve TCM theoretical level and operation skill of western medicine nurses, meet the clinical demands of TCM hospitals and improve the patients’ satisfactory degree.
