：Objective To analyze the research status of medical case resource database in China, and to provide references and suggestions for the future development in this area. Methods A bibliometric method was adopted, and researches about medical case resource database published between January 2000 and December 2017 in CNKI, Wanfang Database, CSTJ were searched and analyzed. Related studies were categorized by published year, publication, foundation, research content and other issues. Results 〓A total of 139 studies were retrieved, and the number of publication tends to increase over past ten years. There were 80(57.56%)papers with support of funds, and most of papers were form Jiangsu, Guangdong, Beijing and other economically developed regions. The foundation medicine and clinical medical were two main research disciplines, and researchers emphasized particularly on information construction of medical case resource database. Conclusion 〓Limited studies concerning the medical case resource database have been published recently. There is no mature periodical group and related research groups established. Given the development of case resource database varying in different regions and different academic disciplines, more efforts should be made to balance the development and enlarge the research profundity and scope.
