Abstract:This paper summarized the nursing experience of a preterm infant with oral feeding difficulties by oral movement combined with tube-feeding by gravity drip. After admission, the routine nursing of feeding management was carried out. The oral-motor intervention was operated once a day, and the tube-feeding by gravity drip was used to address the oral feeding difficulty. The gastric tube indwelling time, time to recovery of birth weight, time of achieving full oral feeding and the length of hospital stay were observed. After 21 days of nursing care, the preterm infant could receive full oral feeding and achieved a sound body weight growth.
