Special section on recent progress in nonlinear theory and its applications

The International Symposium on Nonlinear Theory and Its Applications (NOLTA2017)was held successfully at Canc′ un, Mexico, during December 4–7, 2017. The program inNOLTA2017 covered hot topics in variety of research areas of nonlinearity. Through theNOLTA Symposium, international researchers and students exchanged new ideas and results related to nonlinear science and engineering. As a subsequent program associatedwith the Symposium, this special section has been organized.
