摘要

Evidence from animal studies indicate that maternal hy- perglycemia can be detrimental to renal development and kidney function in exposed offspring. In humans, renal dysfunction and dis- ease has been reported in adults whose mothers had Type 1 or Type 2 diabetes, suggesting that pre-gestational maternal diabetes influences kidney development and the risk of renal dysfunction in adulthood. Despite its high prevalence, few studies have examined kidney devel- opment or renal function in offspring of women with GDM. The aim of this study was to evaluate the impact of treated GDM on fetal kidney size and infant renal physiology.
