SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY AND UNIVERSITY REFORM IN THE ZULIA UNIVERSITY HISTORIC PROCESS (1891-2000)

摘要

University Social Responsibility (USR) can be understood as the ability of the university to disseminate and implement a set of ethical principles and values that support student training and social engagement of scientific endeavor. This work aims to identify that concept in the historical period between 1891 and 2000. The methodology used was descriptive documentary, bounded on stage taking into account their specificities. Results evidenced that at the University of Zulia, the concept of RSU associated with its ideas and ideals of reform was present in the historical processes addressed.
