Petroleum and gas containing prospects of the jier and timan-sargay deposits in the Ukhta field zone

Sandy collectors and oil-gas impermeable argillaceous barriers are known to present in the jier and timan-sargay deposits in the area of Ukhta fold. In some massifs oil-gas accumulations having both anticlinal and non-anticlinal traps have already been discovered.Forecast of new hydrocarbon deposits on the observed area is based on making and analyzing structural and isopachytal maps of major oil-gas accumulations known.Two key factors: an embayment type of bed rock distribution and fractures - affected much the formation of composite stratigraphic and lithological traps with tectonic screening for the jier horizon deposits. Fractures provided space letting diabases permeate and sediment. Composite anticlinal and non-anticlinal traps have proved to be perspective for oil-gas searching.The above traps - the indicators of a favorable forecast - occur in the observed jier and timan-sargay deposits. The evidence of oil-gas presence in core confirmed the theoretical background. As the result of the research the map of oil-gas perspectives was made which needs both the shaped and zigzag-shaped drilling to prove this effectiveness
