The article discusses the study, whose aim was to determine the efficiency of coke wastewater treatment in the process of coagulation. In the process of coagulation volume was tested of four kinds of coagulants, which came from the plant “Kemipol” with a common name PIX: PIX-112 PIX-123, PIX and PIX-122-113. The scope of the investigation included the selection of the most suitable coagulant, as well as the dosage and choice of optimal pH. Taking into consideration the fact of a too low degree of the water purification preventing it from a discharge into either water reservoir or sewage system, the water had to subjected to the process of reverse osmosis to obtain proper purification degree/effect. Efficiency of physical-chemical treatment of coke plant wastewater was determined based on changes in indicators of pollution: chemical oxygen demand and organic carbon content and overall.
