ThisresearchanalyzesstudentactionattheEscolaSuperiordeEducaccedil;atilde;oFiacute;sicadoRioGrandedoSul,betweentheyears1957and1964.Itsfocusisjustifiedbythestrongmobilization,organizationandarticulationofstudentsatthenationalandlocallevelduringthisperiod.BasedonthetheoreticalandmethodologicalperspectiveofCulturalHistory,weanalyzesourcessuchasmeetingminutes,reports,oraltestimoniesandstudentpublications.OurmethodologicaltoolisContentAnalysis,inwhichwetakeaninitialseparatelookatdocumentsandthen,atalattermoment,attempttorelatethemtooneanother.FromtheseinterconnectionswegoontoelaborateunitsofsignificationwhichallowabetterunderstandingofstudentactionswithintheinternalenvironmentoftheESEF,aswellastheirarticulationwithinanationalmovement.Wegivesaliencetothepoliticalparticipationofstudentsintwomobilizationsthattookplacewithintheinstitution:thedemand#45;centeredmovementof1958andthemobilizationforacampusofitsown./font
