Professional competences in Physical Education: an approach along the educational career

TheobjectiveofthisstudywastoanalyzetheprofessionalcompetenceselucidatedintheeducationalcareerofPhysicalEducationteachersfromschool.64teachersofPhysicalEducationofthemunicipalpublicnetofPortoAlegre(RS)participatedinthestudy.Inthecollectionofdataaquestionnairewasusedcomposedbyopenandclosedquestions,whoseanswerswereclassifiedbasedonthemodelofprofessionalcompetenceofCheetham;Chivers(1998),withtheapplicationoftheSoftwareNvivo7.0.Inthegroupofanalyzedcompetences,itwasidentifiedthatteacherswithmoreexperiencearethosethatstandoutthefunctionalcompetencesintheirpaths,characterizedbythespecificcompetenceoftheoccupationandoftheorganizationandadministration.Itstandsoutthatthesocialandvocationaldimensionwaspreponderantinelapsingoftheeducationalcareer,inthedetrimentoftheinterpersonaldimensionofthesocialandpersonalcompetence.Inspiteoftheimportanceoftheethicstotheeducationalprofession,theethicalcompetenceandvalueswasnotexpressiveintheunitsofregistrationofthisstudy./font
