摘要

In 1977, the exhibition galleries of Minpaku opened to the public, after its offcial establishment in 1974. In this 40th Anniversary issue of the opening,we have invited our contributors to introduce new research being plannedor carried out as a museum-wide special project, and other directions in ourpresent and future work as a public museum and research institute.
