Pediatric Resuscitation: Lessons Learned and Future Directions

The science of resuscitation has had significant and meaningful advances over the past fifty years, with resul- tant improvements in outcomes for both adult and pedi- atric populations. This article aims to describe some of the recent advances in pediatric resuscitation, including aspects of care affecting the management of cardiac arrest and sepsis, and to give a glimpse into technologies and methodologies that may be utilized to improve outcomes for children in the near future.
