Corrosion involves the reaction electrochemistry that are naturally and held by itself, hence corrosion notpreventable or stopped but can only controlled by using the method hot dip galvanizing. As for the purpose of thisresearch, to know the influence of time and temperature immersion against the thickness of the layer, the corrosionand the impact strengtht. Materials used low carbon steel (0.02 % C) and zinc material (Zn) as a upholstery. Theprocess of dyeing done with variations time 3, 6, 9, 12 minutes and temperature 4200C, 4400C, 4600C, 4800Ccorrosion use solution of HCl by concentration of the 10 % and 15 %.The longer the extra weight coating increasing, extra weight on the highest time 12 minutes 11,765 grams. Wasinversely with temperatures immersion, the higher temperatures use hence extra weight decrease of 8,88 gram at thetemperature 4800C. Corrosion growth rate on solution HCl 10 % highest in the 3 of 0.916 mm/year, while thelargest corrosion at the temperature 4800C worth 1.464 mm/year, while solution HCl 15 % the largest corrosion inthe 12 of 1.372 mm/year, with temperature 4200C of 240.883 kJ/m2. The longer the coating using a process hot dipgalvanizing hence vigor impact increasing even with the 12 minute power impact preponderate the column material175,112 kJ/m2.
