UNIQUE OCCURRENCE OF LARVAL STAGES OF AUSTRALAPATEMON SP IN CZECHOSLOVAKIA

Cercariae Australapatemon sp. were found in the snail Radix peregra peregra in North Bohemia (Czechoslovakia). Developmental stages obtained from the first intermediate host-daughter sporocysts and cercariae are described in detail. The penetration of cercariae into the leech Glossiphonia heteroclita was observed; further development in the second intermediate host was not studied. Until now, the larval stages of this type have been known only from Australia.
