Kulturlandschaft gemeinsam verstehen – Praktische Beispiele der Landschaftssozialisation aus dem Schweizer Alpenraum

Within the research field of landscape perception new approacheshave been developed and applied on different scales in Switzerland.Agriculture still has a huge impact on the appearance of cultural landscape.The project Kulturlandschaft gemeinsam verstehen investigates theperception among farmers and is focusing on regional differences. Thereforeproblem-centred interviews have been conducted in two case study areas duringan on-site walk with farmers. Regarding the theory of landscape socialisationparticipative and mediation processes in the realm of landscape values havebeen considered. The results point out a differentiated perception ofcultural landscape within the two case study areas and show that an activeinclusion of farmers has a positive impact on the landscape perception.
