You are likely aware that the International Congress on Mathematical Education(ICME) is a major activity of the Commission on Mathematical Instruction(ICMI). ICMI exists to promote international collaboration, and the sharing ofideas related to any aspect of mathematical education with a view to enhancingthe learning and teaching of mathematics. ICME is an important activityserving these ends. Held once every four years, it provides an opportunity for allinterested in mathematical education — teachers, mathematicians, mathematicseducators and researchers —from around the world to gather to exchange ideas,and to form and develop collaborations. The conference typically attracts around3000 delegates.
