In this study, amultivariate statistical analysis was performed onmorphological characters of Arum L. species in Iran.Totally, 29 qualitative and quantitative morphologicalcharacters of species were evaluated. Clusteranalyses by ward method classified the genotypesbased on morphological traits in three groups.Cluster 1 had 1 genotype. Cluster 2 had 2 genotypesand cluster 3 had 2 groups. Dendrogram of GeneticRelationships among Arum species which wasconstructed by the UPGMA method demonstratedthat 4 main groups existed in the collection at thehighest level of hierarchy (0.34). Using the results frommorphological studies, differential characteristicswere obtained in the principal component analysis.The result of principal component analyses introducedtwo principal components with eigenvalue more thanone which contributed 99.075% of the total variability.Classification of the cluster analysis was confirmedby principal component analysis and good varietyof different traits to species based on similaritiesand differences have separated. In conclusion,morphological traits can identify and classify speciesof this genus as a systematic application.
