There are researched the problems of industrial policy of the Azerbaijan government, current trends ofdevelopment of the industry of the republic, feature of the oil strategy of Azerbaijan in the article. There are done conclusions concerning the prospects of enhancement of industrial policy of the republic. There is emphasized the need of creation of the diversified high and competitive industrial production providing strengthening of economic independence and a homeland security of the country, worthy level of living of the population, improvement of an ecological situation and integration of economy into the system of world economic communications.
