The 2019/20 ePortfolio Review

The PharmaceuticalSociety of Ireland’s(PSI) ContinuingProfessionalDevelopment(CPD) Rules 2015 (SI No 553of 2015) came into effect on1 January 2016. These rulesset out the legal frameworkto give effect to the PSI’s CPDmodel, including a systemof quality assurance ofpharmacists’ CPD.The system of qualityassurance known as theePortfolio Review processis carried out by the IrishInstitute of Pharmacy (IIOP).The ePortfolio Review is theprocess by which pharmacistsare required to submit anextract from their ePortfoliowhich demonstrates that theyare appropriately engaging inCPD. Pharmacists can expectto be called by the PSI toparticipate in an ePortfolioReview once in every five-yearperiod.
