摘要

Nature Inspired Meta-Heuristic algorithms are proved to be beneficial for solving real world combinatorial problems such as minimum spanning tree, knapsack problem, process planning problems, load balancing and many more. In this research work, existing meta-heuristic approaches are discussed. Due to astonishing feature of echolocation, bat algorithm has drawn major attention in recent years and is applicable in different applications such vehicle routing optimization, time-tabling in railway optimization problems, load balancing in cloud computing etc. Later, the biological behaviour of bats is explored and various areas of further research are discussed. Finally, the main objective of the research paper is to propose an algorithm for one of the most important application, which is load balancing in cloud computing environment.
