Electrochemical Capacitance of CoxNiyO Preparation by Microwave-assisted Modification

摘要

The capacitance performance of the cobalt-doped nickel oxide (CoxNiyO) composite electrode materialmade by microwave irradiation method was reported in this paper. The cobalt was doped into theNi(OH)2 by ball-milling firstly, and then, the CoxNiyO composite electrode material was obtained bytreating the doped Ni(OH)2 in the microwave oven at 480W for 135s. The electrochemicalperformances of these electrodes were investigated via cyclic voltammetry(CV) and electrochemicalimpedance spectroscopy (EIS) methods. The specific surface area of composite electrode material with2 -1 -1 Co/Ni=0.4 could be enhanced to 146.21m g , and the specific energy 61.67whkg at the current-1 density of 200mAg . And also, the specific energy also remained more than 92% even after 500charge/discharge cycles. The CoxNiyO composites developed by the microwave irradiation methodwould be excellent electrode materials for electrochemical capacitors.
