摘要

Clustering is one of the most popular approaches used for energy efficiency in wireless sensor networks (WSNs). We considered a clustered based WSN with a mobile base station (BS). In this paper, after cluster head (CH) nodes election and cluster formation, the best location of the BS is specified with respect to the CHs. The location of the BS is determined so that the minimum energy cost is imposed for data communication; this is because the energy consumption depends on the distance between the cluster heads and the BS. Simulation results show that the proposed algorithm has a more advantage in energy conservation.
