Choice Based Credit System Programme (CBCS)

摘要

The main aim of the CBCS is to make undergraduate education student centric ratherthan system centric or teacher centric. CBCS allows students to choose interdisciplinary, intradisciplinary courses, skill oriented papers. CBCS makes education broadbased and at par with global standards. One can take credits by combining unique combinations. For example, Physics with Economics, Microbiology with Chemistry or Environment Science etc. The courses are evaluated using the grading system. The uniform grading system will also enable potential employers in assessing the performance of the candidates. CBCS offers flexibility for students to study at different times and at different institutions to complete one course (ease mobility of students). Credits earned at one institution can be transferred to another institution.
