Despite the large number of publications on the use of Web-technology opportunities in education, so far little attention has been given to their use in GIS education.The analysis of educational resources on the problems of training in the field of geoinformatics. For the first time a classification, features and results of implementing Web-technologies, cloud computing technologies for GIS education have been described. The use of cloud computing technologies, concepts Web-1.0, Web-2.0, Web-3.0 allows to produce competent professionals in demand in the labor market.Opportunities of Web-technologies - is the foundation for building an information space for training, retraining and professional communication for all who are interested in GIS education.
