Software maintainers at Hill AFB aim to speed up F-35 organic software depot activation timeline

HILL AIR FORCE BASE, UT ～ The 309th Software Engineering Group here is working to speed up the activation of the F-35's organic software maintenance depot capability, in part by helping the program transition to the cloud and speed up its mission data file generation processes. The Air Force and Navy share responsibility to stand up organic software depot capabilities for the F-35, with the Air Force responsible for providing nine of the program's 16 software functions. The Air Force split those nine capabilities between the Ogden Air Logistics Complex at Hill AFB and the Warner Robins Air Logistics Complex at Robins Air Force Base, GA.
