An unusual ocular presentationof acquired immune deficiencysyndrome

A 50-year-old male who presented with bilateral keratomalaciaand on subsequent evaluation was found to be humanimmunodeficiency virus (HIV) positive is being reported.A MEDLINE search of the literature did not reveal any report ofkeratomalacia as the initial presenting feature of HIV/ acquiredimmune deficiency syndrome.Keywords: Chronic diarrhea, conjunctival xerosis, keratomalacia, night blindness, weight loss
