A Tribute to Dr. Rammohan Tiwari

Born in 1934 in Madhya Pradesh, he was a graduate and post graduate of the Government medical college in Nagpur. He trained in Surgical Oncology in Tata Memorial Hospital, and Neurosurgery in Bombay Hospital before leaving for training in UK, culminating in his securing a fellowship of the Royal col- lege and an appointment as a Consultant Otolaryngologist at Newcastle. He returned to Delhi held a teaching faculty ap- pointment in Maulana Azad Medical College before leaving the country to work in Surinam and Amsterdam. He obtained his Phd through research and spent most of his active surgical career in the Free University Hospital in Amsterdam, a centre he made famous by the quality of his work and research.
