Predicting local, brief weather changes such as the recent increase in frequent torrential downpours, tornados, and squalls has reached a limit with conventional weather forecast technology. MEISEI ELECTRIC CO., LTD. has developed a low-cost weather station, and by installing a large number of these stations to form a dense observation network it becomes possible to conduct local observation by remote monitoring.
