Outcomes of Anterior Cruciate Ligament Reconstruction in Females using Patellar-Tendon-Bone versus Hamstring Autografts: A Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis

Introduction & Aims: The current review aims to compare the outcomesof anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) reconstruction in the female populationafter patellar-tendon-bone and hamstring grafts.Method: The review was conducted using the Preferred Reporting Itemsfor Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRSIMA) guidelines. All original randomised controlled trials and prospective cohort studies thatcompared clinical outcomes after female ACL reconstruction usinghamstring versus patellar-tendon-bone grafts were included. All clinicaloutcomes reported by three or more studies were included.
