摘要

Opioid impacts brain morphology and intrinsic functional network architecture in chronic low back pain: A pilot structural and functional MRI study Objective/Background: As prescription opioids are increasingly used and misused for treating chronic pain, there is a need to bet- ter characterize how opioid analgesics impact the brain. Here, we report an initial investigation of how opioids alter brain morphol- ogy and intrinsic activity in chronic low back pain patients on opioids (CLBP+) compared to those not on opioids (CLBP—).
