摘要

LHb is a neural substrate of conditioned inhibition. Endocrinal and behavioral consequences of chasing stress emulating predatory threat The current study developed a novel stress model called “chas- ing stress” paradigm using rats. In the chasing stress paradigm, rats are chased by a fast-moving robotic construct in an inescapable maze, which emulates predatory threat in nature. Since this paradigm employs a robotic construct that can be precisely modu- lated, it has significant advantages with experimental convenience, efficacy, as well as high ecological validity. To validate the effective- ness of this paradigm, the study examined immediate endocrinal and behavioral responses to chasing stress, as well as long-term behavioral consequences of chasing stress.
