Laparoscopic left hemicolectomy with intracorporeal colosigmoid anastomosis: A technical note

We read with interest the article “Comparative analysis of out-comes after multiport and single-port laparoscopic colectomy inemergency situations”, by Say-June Kim et al 1 Concerning colo-rectal cancer, single port surgery seems to be safe in interim resultsbut does not confer anyadvantage apartof cosmesis. 2 Triangulationand traction are very important during colorectal procedures toachieve excellent tissue exposure. To illustrate this, the exampleof laparoscopic left hemicolectomy for cancer with an intracorpor-eal anastomosis is presented.
