Maintenance Approach to Reduce Efforts in Software Development Life Cycle

Software development process is combinationof several phases and maintenance is one of the majorcomponents of it. It has been considered that about 70%or more of the total software development budget cost isexpending in maintenance of a software application.Software maintenance is a process of activities when anapplication after deployment to modify an existentsoftware application due to some error or in anticipationof future problem. A number of works has been done toreduce the maintenance cost and effort of an application;herewith, we are proposing an integral approach to reducethe maintenance cost while designing the softwareapplication. In this particular research work, we areproposing different approaches at design phase to reducethe cost and effort of all kinds of software maintenanceduring entire life cycle of an application.
