LIFE TABLES AND REPRODUCTIVE PARAMETERS OF PHLEBOTOMUS NEGLECTUS TONNOIR, 1921 (DIPTERA, PSYCHODIDAE) UNDER LABORATORY CONDITIONS

摘要

Laboratory investigations of the biology of the sand fly, Phlebotomus neglectus, including bionomic factorscollected on the life history, behavior and feeding preferences of this species and the characteristics of its developmentalbiology are presented. In addition, we quantified the parameters of the population dynamics and life history of thisspecies under laboratory conditions which are crucial for a better understanding of its role as a vector of Leishmaniaparasites in the eastern Mediterranean area.
