Magnesiumferritenanoparticles(MgFe2O4NPs)werepreparedbyasolutionbasedmethodusingmagnesiumsulphate(MgSO4),ferroussulphate(FeSO4),dlserineandNaOHasaprecipitantandtheobtainedprecipitationwascalcinatedunder500°Cfor4h.TheresultingmaterialwascharacterizedbyusingX-raydiffractometry(XRD)andscanningelectronmicroscopy(SEM).TheMgFe2O4NPswereusedforpreparationofMgFe2O4NPs/carbonpasteelectrode(MgFe2O4NPs/CPE)andappliedforelectrochemicalinvestigationofdopamine(DA)whichexhibitsgoodelectrocatalyticactivityforinvestigationofDAatphysiologicalpH7.4.TheeffectofpHrangefrom5.5to8.0wasstudiedandtheresultshowsthattheredoxpeakcurrentwasmaximaatpH7.5andtheredoxpeakwaspHdependentwithaslopeof0.061V/pH.Thescanrateeffectwasfoundtobeanadsorption-controllingelectrodeprocess.TheelectrocatalyticcurrentsincreasedlinearlywithanincreaseinDAconcentrationintherange0.1–1.2μMandthedetectionlimitwasfoundtobe7.7×10?8M.TheproposedmethodwassuccessfullyappliedtothedeterminationofDAininjectionsamples...
