Diffuse reflectance spectrophotometry in the ultraviolet, visible and near-infrared (UV-vis-NIR) range is becoming a widely-used tool for the non-invasive analysis of cultural heritage objects, especially in its variant with optical fibres, commonly dubbed FORS (Fibre Optic Reflectance Spectroscopy).
