Preface to the Proceedings of the Workshop on Eosinophils in Allergy and Related Diseases 2013

We are excited to be able to publish the proceedings of the 27th Workshop on Eosinophils in Allergy and Related Diseases, held in Tokyo on June 15, 2013, as an on-line supplemental issue of Allergology International (AI). The Workshop is a periodic meeting established by Professor Sohei Makino, Dokkyo Medical College, in 1988, held annually and was organized by Professors Makino and Takeshi Fukuda. Professor Nagata, Saitama Medical University, has been the Chairperson of the Workshop since June 2012, and the Workshop committee includes 33 delegates. The 2013 Workshop was supervised by Professor Yamaguchi, Teikyo University, and comprised 20 oral presentations, including one special lecture and one luncheon lecture.
