摘要

In this paper we present fast track training for students to get acquainted with ARM Cortex -M4 architecture. This is accomplished by considering exercises and a simple project that gives not only an insight but also hands-on experience to the students and electronics hobbyist. Microcontrollers with ARM architecture have become popular and are one of the best microcontrollers to start working with in an introductory embedded system laboratory. Texas Instruments' Stellaris LaunchPad is chosen for this purpose. The tiny board contains LM4F120H5QR as the microcontroller. It is an inexpensive board which can be purchased by the student. Further, these exercises with some more advanced projects can be introduced as a half-semester laboratory training program.
